This beautiful limited-edition dress by Ying the Label comes from Tjin Lee, entrepreneur, women’s empowerment advocate and a champion of Singapore’s fashion and creative community. Tjin wore it while hosting Ying the Label’s runway show at Singapore Fashion Week’s Fashion Futures showcase. For Tjin, the dress is more than a memorable addition to her wardrobe. It reflects her long-standing commitment to championing Singapore’s homegrown creative talent and the power of giving people a platform to pursue their dreams.
Founded by Singaporean designer and artist Phuay Li Ying, Ying the Label brought together fashion and art, beautifully captured here through tailoring, embroidery and an art-inspired pleated hem. As Ying evolved from fashion designer to artist, the dress became a meaningful milestone in her creative journey. The hummingbirds symbolise resilience, hope and quiet determination, values that resonate deeply with Tjin’s own work empowering women to pursue their ambitions.
